Gindie State School has provided education to this district since 1897 and it has a proud history of strong, proactive and supportive partnerships with the P&C and school community. We are a multi-age, co-educational primary school located in the small township of Gindie, approximately 20 kilometres south of Emerald. We have two teachers and 32 students, divided into a Prep to Year 3 Junior Classroom and a Year 4 to Year 6 Senior Classroom.
Our school offers a welcoming and inclusive environment, where each child's unique abilities are catered for with individualised learning programs. Through our multi-age philosophy we aim to foster a friendly, inclusive and supportive school environment. We believe in nurturing and developing learning skills, to equip every student in our school for lifelong learning. We take a holistic approach to education and focus on improving academic, sporting, cultural and personal outcomes for all students.
At Gindie State School we foster our core values of Excellence, Responsibility, Acceptance, Safety and Manners. We also encourage the important skills of Confidence, Emotional Resilience, Getting Along, Persistence and Organisation to help us follow our core values each day. We actively promote the philosophies that 'Every Day Counts' and 'Every Child Learning Every Day'.
