At Gindie State School we believe that a student’s education is a partnership between home and school. Parents and teachers work together for the best educational goals for each and every student in our school.
Each term, we provide parents the opportunity to discuss student progress.
Weekly, on Friday's we send home a Weekly Report Book which provides some overview of the week in particular Key Learning Area's. We also communicate date claimers and any other important information. In the report the teacher allocates a grade for effort and behaviour for that week, to keep parents informed about students' week at school.
In term 1 and term 3, we hold formal interviews with parents to discuss student progress and achievements.
In Term 2 and Term 4, formal report cards with students’ academic results are issued to parents.
Each and every day at Gindie State School, we have an open door policy where parents are welcome to discuss concerns and student progress with our teachers. Sometimes, if teachers have pressing planning or organisation priorities, they may request that a time is mutaully agreed when these discussions can occur.
