At Gindie State School we believe that a student’s education is a partnership between home and school. Parents and teachers work together for the best educational goals for each and every student in our school.
Each term, we provide parents the opportunity to discuss student progress.
At the beginning of each term, we send home a Termly Subject Overview which details the topics and skills that will be covered in each learning area during the term.
Each Friday, we send home a Weekly Report which details student effort, behaviour, attendance and spelling results. It also shares date claimers and any other important information.
In Term 1 and Term 3, we hold formal interviews with parents to discuss student progress and achievements.
In Term 2 and Term 4, formal report cards with students’ academic results are issued to parents.
Each and every day at Gindie State School, we have an open door policy where parents are welcome to discuss concerns and student progress with our teachers. Sometimes, if teachers have pressing priorities, they may request that a mutually agreed time to schedule these discussions.
