At Gindie State School we implement the Australian Curriculum.

The Curriculum into the classroom (C2C) is an Education Queensland initiative to support the teaching and implemntation of the Australian Curriculum in Queensland state schools. Our teachers have adapted the C2C multi-age units to meet the needs of our students. The C2C units  include content descriptors i.e. what students in each year level needs to know and be able to do. The units also include a sequence of learning experiences that the teacher explicitly teaches to the students in order to ensure the content of the National Curriculum is being taught and accurate assessment of our students learning.

Assessment frequently occurs throughout the unit to monitor student progress. Summative assessment usually occurs on culmination of the unit in the form of a unit task or a series of smaller unit tasks throughout the unit. Feedback to students on their achievements and how they can make improvements is ongoing and continual throughout each unit. Standards of student performance are assessed according to our school benchmarks, as well as the C2C exemplars and school moderation.
