Having provided an education to our local district since 1897, Gindie State School has a very proud history of strong, proactive and supportive partnerships with our Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C) and wider school community. We are a multi-age, co-educational primary school located in the small township of Gindie, approximately 20 kilometres south of Emerald in the Central Highlands. Our school boasts a number of experienced and highly accomplished staff members and teachers who work together to support our two classes: Junior Class Prep - Year 2 and Senior Class Year 3 - Year 6.
Our school offers a welcoming and inclusive environment, where each child's unique abilities are catered for with individualised learning programs. Through our multi-age philosophy, we aim to foster a friendly, inclusive and supportive school environment. We believe in nurturing and developing learning skills, to equip every student in our school for lifelong learning. We take a holistic approach to education and focus on improving academic, sporting, cultural and personal outcomes for all students.
At Gindie State School, we foster our core values of Excellence, Responsibility, Acceptance, Safety and Manners. We also encourage the important skills of Confidence, Emotional Resilience, Getting Along, Persistence and Organisation to help us follow our core values each day. We actively promote the philosophy that 'Every Day Counts' and we, as a school, are committed to equity and excellence in education - that all children and young people are confident, creative lifelong learners in their community.
Please explore our school website and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries.
